Opportunities for young people

Attended the conference in November youth generation in Kyiv. Its main goal is the development of entrepreneurial spirit and dissemination of professional competencies among young people.

The introductory speaker was the CEO. He has been the Executive Director for 7 years. During this time, he took the scale of the project outside the country.
He told the top 7 personal tips to build a reputation that will work for you. Enjoy reading.

  1. Start with small projects.

Learn to take responsibility and get things done. Smaller volumes make it easier to handle. Especially if this is your first experience (volunteering, real teamwork, project). No one was born a master at all hands, only training and self-improvement helped to develop. Start small to really understand if you like it.

  2. Important to develop.

In large companies, you gain skills, but you have little responsibility and value. Small – has a lot of influence and responsibility, but you will have to learn yourself.

  3. Cross the comfort zone.

If it doesn’t sound ridiculous, it’s very difficult to go beyond that. You think you’re about to do it and run away at every opportunity. Whatever it is, and it stops Your development, pulls back and does not spread its wings. Know that if you relax, nothing new and interesting will happen. To overcome yourself and still start something new, you just need friends with the opposite world from your vision, then at every opportunity where you can be lazy, they will come and make you move on.

  4. Try to be in an important (for the company) place.

We are not talking about work, we are talking about your environment. If you can become important for friends and acquaintances, you will gain this authority, then in the future, there is nothing to be afraid of because you already have that experience. You know your strengths and you can use them. Moreover, dating helps in the future. Who knows where you will be in a year or two. If you are not sure of yourself/strengths/preferences – attend thematic training, find a mentor (just write to a person you respect). It really works.

  5. Always develop professionally.

Motivation is important, of course, but without real skills, it will be difficult. Try from the first year #Try yourself.

  • Attend a thematic conference (they are available at all universities). Easy enough to get to. Just ask the teachers/faculty when such an event will take place. They will be happy to respond. You may even give a report there, which is an additional experience for you.
  • become a volunteer. For several years in a row, it has become fashionable to hold large-scale events. Accordingly, no one will refuse additional assistance.

Why it’s cool: You get to know new areas, take on new responsibilities that you won’t read about in the book, and get acquainted.

  1. Be hungry.

In sports, it is customary to use this expression to conquer new heights and get better and better results in competitions. You need the same thing in life. Steve Jobs insisted on this phrase, it is run by the English Premier League. Why don’t you try that too?

You have an idea and endless spaces of the Internet, use it.
